The GZ-MG360 from JVC is an entry-level hard drive recording camcorder, equipped with a 60-gigabyte hard drive. It does not have HD recording capability, but records standard definition video in a widescreen format. In addition to the hard drive, it also allows you to record video and stills to MicroSD cards, which can be handy in a pinch. The 35x optical zoom lens is only digitally stabilized, which is something of a disappointment, but the 2.7-inch widescreen LCD is touch-sensitive, which is a nice feature. In all, this is a good choice for a no-nonsense hard drive-based camcorder.
