The GZ-MG330 from JVC is functionally identical to the GZ-MG360, but with a 30-gigabyte rather than a 60-gigabyte drive. It's an entry-level camcorder, lacking HD recording capability and recording standard definition video in widescreen format. In addition to the hard drive, it also allows you to record video and stills to MicroSD cards, which can be handy in a pinch. The 35x optical zoom lens is only digitally stabilized, which is something of a disappointment, but the 2.7-inch widescreen LCD is touch-sensitive, which is a nice feature. In all, this is a good choice for a no-nonsense hard drive-based camcorder.
