Panasonic V270 packs zoom, wi-fi into budget cam
It's hard to find big features on a little budget, but the Panasonic V270 offers a 50x optical zoom and wi-fi.

Hey! You should know that Panasonic has released a newer version of this product: the Panasonic HC-V380.

Priced at under $300, the Panasonic V270 offers a substantial amount of zoom for a budget cam.

The 50x optical zoom is paired with optical image stabilization, a step up over the electronic type on the cheaper Panasonic V160. The video is captured on a 1/5.8" sensor, the size we expect to see at this price point. The bit rate is a good 28 Mbps, higher than the V160 though not as excellent as the Sony CX440. Wi-fi and NFC are nice extras for a budget cam.

The Panasonic V270 offers quite a bit of features for the price. The Sony CX440 offers a better bit rate and built-in memory, but not as much zoom.
